What is Photopolymer?
Photopolymer is a photosensitive synthetic compound that hardens when exposed to an ultraviolet light source. A clear, high-resolution photopolymer sheet is bonded to a variety of base substrates. Computer generated artwork is output to a film negative, placed on the surface of the photopolymer sheet, and exposed to ultraviolet light, hardening the raised area. This exposure creates an integral bond between the photopolymer and the base substrate. Finally, the unexposed photopolymer is washed away with tap water, leaving the raised area.
Photopolymer Series signage offers you an ADA-Compliant line of quality one-piece constructed signs. Single-piece construction provides you increased durability and vandal resistance.

Four Photopolymer sign types available:
- Clear PETG: The most versatile line of photopolymer signage. Features a unique, clear PETG sign base that is moisture-resistant and allows for more design and color options. Clear PETG material is environmentally and user friendly, recyclable, biodegradable and shatterproof. Signs are interior grade and ADA-Compliant (with or without windows).
- Laminate: Features moisture-resistant clear photopolymer that is adhered to a broad selection of materials, including wood grains, marbles and granites. Clear PETG material is environmentally and user friendly. Signs are interior grade and ADA Compliant (with or without windows).
- Aluminum: Features the same clear, moistureresistant photopolymer layer as the other sign surfaces. Aluminum photopolymer provides superior graphic detail. Signs are interior and exterior grade and ADA-Compliant.
- Designer: Clear photopolymer is bonded to 3-Form's VariaTM series material. Select from a wide variety of innovative materials bonded to your custom selected thickness, color, pattern, texture or finish. Clear PETG material is environmentally and user friendly. Signs are interior grade and ADA Compliant (with or without windows).
